Steak
- 1 lb beef strips (sirloin or ribeye) (450g)
- 2 tbsp light olive oil (30g)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger (15g)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (15g)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional) (15g)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (30g)
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce (optional) (30g)
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce (30g)
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar (30g)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (15g)
Onions
- 1 large onion (sliced)
- 1 tbsp light olive oil (15g)

Prepare the marinade by whisking together soy sauce, oyster sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil in a bowl.

Toss the beef strips in the marinade and let sit for 10-15 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and cornstarch. Set aside.

Heat 1 tbsp light olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Add sliced onions and sauté until soft and slightly caramelized.

Season with salt and pepper, then remove from the pan and set aside.
